It’s hard to work with someone else on a project – especially when one of those somebody’s has a different vision for the outcome. I’m sure we’ve all been a part of a team that we would have rather not been a part of . . . I know I have.
To help my children learn to navigate group projects, we do collaborative art projects frequently.
Through this process, they learn to talk about their ideas, communicate clearly, make a strong argument for their side of an issue, listen, compromise and weigh options. Toddlerhood is a tough time for many of these concepts but with practice they truly do make wonderful progress toward team players!
