W: “I want to make a picture of a rhino today!”
Me: “I’ll go get some stuff and you can do that.”
W: “Get paper and glue and scissors. Get two! You need to make one too!”
From above, you can see that today’s activity was not my idea. In fact, it’s the type of activity that I dread. I’m not comfortable with creating art (the backstory to that is crazy and long so I’ll spare you the time and me the bad memories); but, I wasn’t about to squash excitement like that. So, I ran downstairs and grabbed the materials. Sitting side by side we cut, drew, giggled and glued for 45 minutes. It was wonderful bonding and actually quite fun. Here are the end results
