When Mother Nature sends you ice . . . make icees (aka snow cones or slushies).
Thanks to last night’s ice storm we had more than enough ice pellets to make icees today! To make this fun winter treat, you must first gather the tiny ice pellets. Some people like to gather them in a bowl as they are coming down and others are comfortable to scoop them out of the yard later. Both methods work so whatever floats your boat. After this, you need to divide your ice and add flavorings. We happened to have slush/Popsicle flavors on hand so we used those today but if you don’t regularly keep those around you can use just about any fruit juice or some concentrated Kool-Aid. Mix your ice and flavors together and voila an icy treat!
What flavor would you choose?
